The garden

Where the land folds into tilas and the rain never quite leaves.

North-east Bangladesh is tea country. In Sylhet, low hills — tilas — roll out in terraces of clipped green, shaded by tall trees and soaked by some of the heaviest monsoons in the world. The acidic, well-drained soil and warm, wet air give the leaf its body and its bright, coppery liquor.

Ibnsina Tea is sourced from these gardens and packed close to harvest, so the colour, aroma and strength you get in the cup are the ones the leaf left the hills with.

Every cup of black tea begins with the same careful pluck. What happens after decides how it tastes.
